Ok, I decided to marry Lydia in-game, and then i wanted to set her up with some more lady-like clothes than her battlegear, so i could keep her around the house and use another follower. Uninstalling the house mod does solve the problm though.
But in my case the problem appeared after I installed BreezehomeTNF (Elianora's edition). If she is epic, fast travel to another location, then back, and now ask to follow, and she will follow, if she is not where you killed her, she might be in Breezehome in Whiterun. If she is not epic (can't die), use console command resurrect (use eg. Draw your weapon and kill her, you should see a text telling your follower left you.
Ask Lydia to follow you, when you go away from her she just stands still and don't follow. This problem starts when I started playing Dawnguard main quest, don't know if there is a relation with that. But infact she does not move to Breezehome and remained standing at the same place where I dismissed her. When and wherever I tell Lydia to "part ways" she says that she'll head back home. I have been away from my Whiterun House for many in game months, so I'm unsure if that has anything to do with her being outside the house. I'm not sure what caused it and I know I went into my house and made sure to check every room and only then did she enter the house from outside. I was stunned and had to blink a few times.
